Hannes Aurand

Hannes was born in Cologne, Germany in 1977, the city he still proudly calls home.  He started doing post-production work circa 2002 with an agency called “Tsunami”, where he specialized in TV design.

Around the time he began pursing video production he had already been an avid skateboarder for over 15 years.  This deep involvement with the skate scene and culture has undoubtedly had a strong impact on his taste and the aesthetic style expressed in his work.
Several homemade skate videos that he made, would initiate a desire to work on a professional level, which he pursued as he began editing with Avid Media Composer.His initial curiosity progressed into a passion as began to explore with, and master other video editing software.  At “Tsunami” he gained valuable experience working with Adobe After Effects, discreet autodesk flame.

Since 2002 Hannes has also worked extensively as a Vee-jay under the tag VJ Shang One, adding a fresh dynamic to the Cologne club scene.   The creativity expressed working as a Vee-Jay provides a harmonious balance with the creative style necessary to accomplish projects for the much appreciated corporate clients. 

Hannes’ work in the club scene, closeness to street level culture and overall life experiences in the urban landscape have allowed him to remain close to the current “Zeitgeist” so to speak, and in tune with the ever evolving styles, rhythms and fashions of the world, if not at the forefront.

He specializes in post production however enjoys and uses any opportunity to design; whether it be silk screening prints in his kitchen or curating art exhibits in an old flat before moving out.  So please, feel free to get in touch with him and tap into a wealth of creative ideas and innovative solutions.
